I AM enthroned among the students,
Concocting a new Eden.
Contriving a plethora
of new identities.
Conveying shared dominion
to those who fully image me.
I AM enthroned among the students,
Eroding man’s potency.
Erasing from true women
their commonality.
Enabling the mutilation
     of those who feel anxiety.
I AM enthroned among the students,
Deciding good and evil.
Defining erratic laws
     of my morality.
Demanding austere discipline
of those who fain to disagree.
I AM enthroned among the students,
Denying ancient wisdom.
Displacing sound reasoning
     with instability.
Declaring arbitrary truths
to those who praise and worship me.
I AM enthroned among the students,
Dictating laws and judgments.
Dispatching vicious verdicts
     with full authority.
Delighting in castigation
of those who pay no heed to me.
I AM enthroned among the students,
Shattering your history.
Shouting the untethered facts
     of my reality.
Seeking swift annihilation
of those who do not bend the knee.
I AM enthroned among the students,
Impressing pliant masses.
Igniting calamity
     and wild brutality.
Inflaming deadly, raging hate
in those who blindly follow me.
I AM enthroned among the students,
Compelling my agenda.
Celebrating base desires
     of dazed mentalities.
Coercing total erasure
     of those who blot society.
I AM enthroned among the students,
Enslaved to propaganda.
Ensnared in duplicity
      of lost humanity.
Exploited in my vanity
by those who have bamboozled me.

Unlike the “I AM” in the poem, in the Gospel of John, Jesus said, “I am:

  • The bread of life.
  • The light of the world.
  • The door.
  • The good shepherd.
  • The resurrection and the life.
  • The way and the truth and the life.
  • The true vine.
  • Before Abraham was born.
  • Jesus of Nazareth.

In the book of Exodus, God reveals himself to Moses as, “I AM WHO I AM.” This “I AM,” Father, Son (Word/Jesus), & Spirit is seen throughout Scripture (glimpses in the Old Testament & clearly in the New Testament). This I AM is three persons, one nature – one Godhead. This I AM is Creator, Sustainer, Provider, the only wise God of all creation.
